Report Adult Abuse and Neglect in Missouri

Jordon-Krambeck Award

The Missouri Coalition for Quality Care (MCQC) is an all-volunteer nonprofit advocacy organization for recipients of long-term care.  It was created to help those who cannot help themselves.  Its members believe that Missourians who need care should receive good care.   MCQC strongly supports funding for services that allow seniors and the disabled to remain in their homes, such as home health, personal care, transportation and home-delivered meals.

MCQC presents the Jordon-Krambeck Award to a Missouri individual or organization that exemplifies a spirit and compassion for improving the lives of senior and disabled citizens receiving long-term care.  The award is named for Chad and Leslie Jordon and Hank and Phyllis Krambeck.

In their jobs with the State of Missouri, Chad and Leslie Jordon found that services for senior citizens and the disabled were lacking and there were too few people looking out for them. This led them to start MCQC, which became a life-long mission for them.  They worked tirelessly for those in need and recruited Board Members who shared their compassion.

Hank and Phyllis Krambeck were on the original Board for MCQC.  They had an extensive history as long-term care ombudsmen in Iowa and then Kirksville, working with their local communities and student ombudsmen at Truman State University.  They were always available to help senior citizens and the disabled in Northeast Missouri.
